Thousands of firms are now asking their staff to work from home due to coronavirus.
But how do you make sure your employees aren’t suffering from loneliness during lockdown? How do you keep them feeling part of the team?
Moore Kingston Smith (MKS) is a firm of accountants and business advisers that has laid on a wide array of activities on Zoom to keep staff spirits high.
Watch the video and pay attention to these concepts:
mental health & well-being
engagement levels
Check out these questions, watch the video again to check your answers:
  1. What's the purpose of the activities?
  2. What's MKS?
  3. What does she say would have happened if they hadn't introduced this initiative?
  4. What expression does she use which means - suddenly
  5. What does 'to lay on' something mean, in this context? - "the company lays on zoom sessions for yoga & mindfulness"
  6. What has your company laid on during this quarantine period?
Think of a couple of questions to bring to class.
